Christos Grigoriou has acquired his PhD in Philosophy in the Department of Philosophy of the University of Ioannina. His doctoral thesis was about Edmund Burke’s early work and from there comes his early interest in aesthetic philosophy. Since then he has extended the study of aesthetics to all its different historical manifestations from antiquity to nowadays. He has teached philosophy to both undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Universities of Crete, Patras and Athens and has published his work in Greek and international Journals. He has also been involved in the translation of philosophical texts. He is a member of the Mediterranean Society for Enlightenment Studies (MSES) and of the editorial board of the Public Realm. He is also the Assistant Editor of Politeia, International Interdisciplinary Philosophical Review.
