Description and history of the laboratory
The Platonic and Aristotelian Studies Laboratory was founded with the P.D. No. 349/2002. The aim of the Laboratory is to support the work of the Department of Philosophy at undergraduate and postgraduate level and to promote research around the leading philosophers of antiquity, Plato and Aristotle. The purpose of the Laboratory is to promote research around the leading philosophers of antiquity, Plato and Aristotle. The Laboratory is also visited by researchers and faculty members from various Universities and related Research Institutions both in Greece and abroad. The collaboration of the Laboratory with Greek, but mainly international European equivalent Research Centers, Universities and international scientific societies is noteworthy. The research infrastructure of the Platonic and Aristotelian Studies Laboratory is outstanding, with a rich library related to Platonic and Aristotelian philosophy, and the purpose of the Laboratory is to promote research around the leading philosophers of antiquity, Plato and Aristotle. Without exception, all the books and periodicals of his rich library, related to Platonic and Aristotelian philosophy, come from special for the Laboratory donations of legal and individual persons.
