Antonios Kalatzis studied Political Sciences and History at the Department of Political Sciences of the Panteion University of Athens. He completed his dissertation on G.W.F. Hegel’s Science of Logic at the Department of Philosophy of the Freie Universität Berlin in 2014. Before joining the Department of Philosophy of the University of Ioannina in 2021, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Martin Buber Society of Fellows in the Humanities and Social Sciences at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2013-2017) and Head of the Interdisciplinary Research Group “Dynamics and Experiences of the ‘Global’” at the Centre Marc Bloch e.V., the German-French Center for Humanities and Social Sciences at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (2017-2021). His research focuses on Classical German Philosophy and its reception in current philosophical debates. He is currently working on a monograph on the reception of Ιmmanuel Kant’s definition of Enlightenment from Kant’s time until today.
