Argyro Lithari completed her doctoral studies in Ancient Philosophy and the History of Ancient Science at Humboldt University of Berlin. Her dissertation, which deals with the treatise Outllines of Astronomical Hypotheses written by the Neoplatonist philosopher Proclus, was unanimously awarded the distinction summa cum laude, and was published by De Gruyter in 2025 (Proclus, “Hypotyposis Astronomicarum Positionum”: Text, Introduction, Translation, and Commentary with a Study of the Diagrams and Illustrations). She has participated in international conferences on topics related to the History of Astronomy, Neoplatonism, and the History and Transmission of Texts. She is a member of the Academia Platonica Septima Monasteriensis. Her studies and research have been fully funded by state and private institutions.

Introduction, Translation, Commentary with a Study of the Diagrams & Illustrations”, supervised by Prof. Dr. Gerd Graßhoff and Prof. Dr. Dr. Stephen Menn. Unanimous evaluation of the dissertation by the supervisors and the external examiner Prof. Daryn Lehoux: summa cum laude.
